In our #culturalportraits series, we intend to present the different players of the artistic and cultural scene, from artists and performers to events or exhibitions’ organisers, and to the ones behind the curtain, the women and men handling the logistic and the technique, etc.
We met with America-born Septime Webre, who joined Hong Kong Ballet in 2017 and brought with him a new energy, vision and newness to the company. We discussed his mission, how to make ballet and classical dance relevant to the current time, and his love for Hong Kong which translates in his choreographies.

I loved “Romeo + Juliet”! And he looks like such an interesting and dedicated choreographer!
