EVENT DESCRIPTION

13a New Street Art Gallery has only been established for one year and has attracted attention from all walks of life. We held exhibitions with different artists from all over the world, and met many like-minded friends during the period. We hope to hold Collectors Lounge once a year to share art with everyone. This time we organized The 13a Collectors Lounge Feat. BE@RBRICK exhibition with a group of collectors and friends, with BE@RBRICK as the theme of this time.

In recent years, many fashionistas turned to a BE@RBRICK collector. As they often launch artist-collaboration products with different international brands, it has become the focus of the market every time they release. In addition, many celebrities and socialites are also Be@rbrick collectors. By seeing lots of sharing on social media, which greatly increases the reputation of BE@RBRICK in the art & fashion industry.

13a New Street Art Gallery aims to integrate trends and art together, so we find some series of BE@RBRICK artist collections to participate in the exhibition. We will exhibit well-known Contemporary Artists including ANDY WARHOL, JEAN-MICHEAL BASQUIAT, KAWS, BANSKY, VINCENT VAN GOGH’s combined BE@RBRICK this time. With the essences of well-known artist elements, Be@rbrick is on the trendy play. This combination is absolutely amazing and has great collection value.

The focus of this time is that the “ONE OF A KIND” BE@RBRICK series jointly created by French artist Anne-Valérie Dupond x Medicom Toy will be displayed at 13a New Street Art Gallery. Their preciousness is that each style in the world is limited to one piece only! Sewn by the artist himself, and stitched together with multiple materials. There are three series, all of which are 18 pieces of BE@RBRICK, three of them will be exhibited at 13a New Street Art Gallery. Anne-Valérie Dupond is a fabric artist, each be@rbrick is infused with the creative elements of the artist. The works are characterized by irregular and thick lines, with a playful style and full of fun.

In addition, a number of collaboration works by famous artists were exhibited, including Vincent Van Gogh, Kuniyoshi Utagawa, Yusuke Hanai, etc. Van Gogh, a Dutch post-impressionist painter, was a pioneer of expressionism and deeply influenced the art of the 20th century, especially Fauvism and German Expressionism. Van Gogh’s works such as “Starry Night” and “Sunflower” are familiar.Utagawa Kuniyoshi was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and painting. He was a member of the Utagawa school.

The range of Kuniyoshi’s subjects included many genres: landscapes, beautiful women, Kabuki actors, cats, and mythical animals. He is known for depictions of the battles of legendary samurai heroes. His artwork incorporated aspects of Western representation in landscape painting and caricature. Yusuke Hanai is deeply influenced by American street culture. Many different popular elements such as Beatles, hippies, etc. can be found in his works, and merged with the Japanese’s attention-to-detail personality to become a unique style. The value of his art toys has now been speculated for more than $10,000. A small Hanai Yusuke’s work was estimated at Sotheby’s at $8000 to $15,000, and finally sold for $75,000.
