R. STRAUSS | An Alpine Symphony (with images by Tobias Melle)

Richard Strauss once boasted that he could depict even a knife and fork in music, so when he set out to paint the full majesty of the Bavarian Alps, it’s fair to say that the results are spectacular! Jinsang Lee is the soloist in Beethoven’s poetic Fourth Piano Concerto before Resident Conductor Lio Kuokman takes a supersized HK Phil on a mountain journey that embraces waterfalls, glaciers and breathtaking views to complete with visuals from Tobias Melle.

The concert runs approximately 2 hours with an intermission.
