STORY MATTERS is an exhibition that delves deeply into this need, inviting visitors on a storytelling journey that will immerse them in the power of art and literature.
Our exhibition features six talented artists and six skilled writers, each of whom has been paired up to create a unique story in response to a particular artwork. As visitors move through the exhibition, they will be transported on a journey that invites them to connect with the stories behind each piece, and to engage with the power and beauty of art in new and unexpected ways.
From the intricate details of each piece to the subtle nuances of the stories they inspire, this exhibition is the perfect opportunity to explore the deep human need for story. Whether you’re a lover of art, literature, or simply the power of storytelling, we invite you to come and join us for an unforgettable journey through the world of STORY MATTERS.
Exhibition Focus: Six Groups of Story Works
As the first show of our gallery, it features 6 talented artists around the world and 6 skilled local writers.
Artists including 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝗛𝘂𝗶 and 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗴 from Hong Kong; 𝗟𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗻 from Korea; 𝗬𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 from Japan; 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘂𝗺 from London; and 𝗟𝗶𝘇 from France.
Linking them with 6 skilled local writers, including 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗲𝗲, 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗼 𝗛𝗶𝗼 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝗖𝘆𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗺, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗴, and 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗶 𝗬𝘂𝗶, each of whom has been paired up to create a unique story in response to a particular artwork. The genres of written works they create based on artworks are diverse, including scripts, lyrics and experimental music, novels, new poems, etc.
