Cats are indeed natural empaths that can heal our body, mind and soul. Can you imagine how cats react when they see daily food and objects like sushi, shin ramyun, giant bread, potato chips, and vacuum robots? Nyangsongi, the renowned Korean illustrator specialising in cat-drawings, creates heart-warming caricatures of cats in various daily episodes!
Gallery by the Harbour presents Nyangsongi’s First Overseas Solo Exhibition “All About Catsssss” from 28 October to 21 November.

Echo with our soul with heart-warming drawings

Portrayed with a gentle colour-pencil-touch, Nyangsongi’s cats display both friendly and mischievous qualities, life’s joy and sorrows. In addition, audiences can find these feline drawings adorable and find comfort in the heart-warming episodes. Like the cat making sushi for a spring picnic; getting angry when baking with friends; doing nothing but playing smartphone games. The hidden messages of her drawings, which inspired from daily scenes, not only exhibit resonance, but also touch our soul. This exhibition reveals the unique charisma of cats and warms the hearts of audiences through their caricatures.

ABOUT THE ARTIST / ORGANISER

Nyangsongi is a renowned Korean illustrator specialising in cat-drawings. She creates heart-warming caricatures of cats with refined colour-pencil-touches, encouraging the viewers to draw on their well of experiences to find meanings in the drawings. She has garnered over 50K followers on Instagram (@nyangsongi) and has published many picture books, including a commission by Sanrio on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Hello Kitty.
