Iconic characters LYCHEE & FRIENDS from Korea opens a world art exhibition FRIENDS.S.S.S. – The Palette Masquerade this September at the SHOUT Gallery in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong as the first stop. LYCHEE & FRIENDS joins hands with galleries around the world to present original oil paintings, watercolors, potteries, and sculptures in collaboration with 15 artists from South Korea, Japan, Argentina, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Hong Kong. Limited edition art prints and venue limited art toys will be also available at the exhibition, bringing an artsy and colorful vibe to collectors.

Founded by Korean illustrators in 2016, lifestyle brand LYCHEE & FRIENDS has been actively hosting art events with artists and designers globally and is emerging in the world of art toys. Since the collaborative exhibition in Seoul, Korea with artist Joo Jae Bum last Christmas, LYCHEE & FRIENDS has taken it to the next level this year with this world art exhibition. The first stop will be held at SHOUT Gallery from 22 September to 17 October, showcasing original works by 15 contemporary artists worldwide, including Korean artists Moon Seung Yeon, Joo Jae Bum, and Choi Ha Young; Japanese painters Ayaïro, Wakaru, and sculptor Yuta Nishiura; Argentinian artist Javier González Burgos, Taiwanese ceramic artist Kuo Shufan, Indonesian multimedia artist Redmiller Blood, Filipino artists Genichi (GNCH) and Kapitan, along with Hong Kong artiste Christy Lai and painters Zoie Lam, Maisie Tse, and Whimsy Du.

Titled FRIENDS.S.S.S – The Palette Masquerade, the 15 artists illustrated moments of LYCHEE meeting new friends around the world in different painting styles and genres – from impressionism with bold and striking colors, to surreal figurative expressions, to pop and “superflat” art – a new dimension of art is demonstrated through different color palettes and images of LYCHEE.

Besides the original art pieces, 10 of the collaborative artworks will be available as limited edition art prints during the exhibition. Every art print will be accompanied by a certificate signed by the artist, which is of great collection value. Moreover, LYCHEE & FRIENDS has collaborated with the leading art toys brand Unbox Industries to create a new vinyl figure series “The Baller”, which will be launched at the exhibition, featuring the 50-piece-limited and individually numbered SHOUT Gallery exclusive “SODA” (HK$799), and the classic limited edition “LYCHEE” (HK$599). The 60cm large version “The Baller XL Series” will be also previewed and available for pre-order, including “Peachy Cocktail” and “Blue Soda Float”, each limited to 8 pieces.

LYCHEE & FRIENDS’ first NFT art series “LYCHEE” will also launch the 2.0 project concurrently. Six selected NFTs will be made into art prints, only one of each in the world, and will be sold at the gallery.

Next Stops for the World Art Exhibition
This art campaign will be extended to other cities going forward, with the objective to discover and share more wonderful art by talented artists with all art lovers.
