Hong Kong Tattoo Show 2021

24 September - 26 September

$150

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Tattoo art no longer belongs to a niche group of audiences; it has become a way of expression and essentially a part of modern lifestyle. As more local tattoo artists emerge, Hong Kong’s tattoo industry has shown its potential and demonstrated a collective creativity as tattoo style and trend continue to evolve.

As a spin-off of “Hong Kong China International Tattoo Convention”, Freedom Tattoo HK presents【Hong Kong Tattoo Show 2021】this year and continues on a mission to promote local tattoo culture to the public. To be held from 24 to 26 September (Friday – Sunday) at K11 ART MALL, the show features a diverse tattoo art style from different tattooists offering on-site inking service. It serves as a platform for tattoo artists and enthusiasts to cross paths, connect and exchange conversations. A tattoo competition will be held on the last day of the show on 26 September (Sunday), an event where tattooists can demonstrate their skills and creativity, while visitors can also learn more about tattoo art and style appreciation.

Tickets for the show will be available on official website (https://www.hktattooshow.com/show- info) starting from 1 September. Public purchasing the tickets online will have the chance to receive free tattoo service from Freedom Tattoo (20 quota). Tattoo lovers must not miss this opportunity!

ABOUT THE ARTIST / ORGANISER

Freedom Tattoo Hong Kong was established in the year 2000, a 4,000sq ft. tattoo studio with its name originating from a quote by the French philosopher Jean-Paul Sarte – Freedom is what you do with what’s been done to you. Founder Gabe Shum has dedicated much of himself to nurturing and developing the local tattoo scene, especially in changing the general public’s negative connotations towards the industry. In 2013, Freedom Tattoo organized Hong Kong’s first-ever three-day international tattoo convention featuring over 100 international tattooists including the renowned Robert Hernandez and Shigenori Iwasaki. Thanks to its overwhelming success, it not only enabled Hong Kong tattoo culture to lay foot on the global tattoo-map but has also since then made the convention an important annual event.
