Digital Art Fair Xperience Hong Kong 2022

Digital Art Fair is bringing its Xperience show to Hong Kong in October 2022. The show is set to transform the 20,000 sq. ft. Central venue into an engaging and interactive high-tech Web 3.0 art experience and is creating the fair’s first international public art installation on Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong.

Thousands of digital artwork pieces will be showcased throughout Digital Art Fair Xperience Hong Kong 2022, through physical, digital display and virtual reality in the metaverse, supported by the fair’s exclusive digital screen partner, LG Electronics Hong Kong (LG). Visitors will be able to experience the metaverse in this physical show setting through the world’s most awarded OLED TV range, developed by LG.

Immersive Zone featuring internationally acclaimed East meets West Artist Jacky Tsai
Grown in Hong Kong, Digital Art Fair aspires to promote artists from Hong Kong, Asia and beyond. The Immersive Zone of the Xperience show will feature works by London-based Chinese artist Jacky Tsai, the world’s leading Chinese contemporary pop artist. Tsai is renowned for his interplay of Chinese and Western cultures, fusing symbolic references from traditional eastern art and imagery with western pop art references. Notable works include the floral skull emblem for British fashion designer Alexander McQueen and Parody of Jay’s Music commissioned by famous Mandopop singer Jay Chou. Last year, Tsai’s iconic “China Floral Skull” NFT piece was sold for US$302,400 at Sotheby’s by auction.

Digital Art Fair Invites the Public to join its Community “The Xperience Art Project’’ to create unique NFT at the fair

Highlights of the Xperience show includes a digital art public art installation “The Xperience Art Project’’, which is expected to create thousands of digital artwork by its visitors and will be displayed in Central Hong Kong as a public art installation. The fair invites visitors to join the artmaking process transforming the facade video wall of the show venue, situated on Queen’s Road Central – one of Hong Kong’s busiest streets.

Digital Art Fair Founder and Global Fair Director Mrs Gillian Howard says, “We see that digital art has become increasingly popular among the young audience, with many wishing to make their own NFT. Through this public art installation, we hope to push the boundaries and connect art lovers and digital artists with this art making xperience, continuing our vision of advancing art and culture with technology. Digital Art Fair Shifts Flagship International Fair to 2023
Digital Art Fair shifts the second edition of its international flagship fair, originally scheduled in September 2022, to 2023 to welcome international art collectors, gallerists and artists to return to Hong Kong for the first time after a 3-year long travel ban.

Following its initial announcement in May 2022, the Hong Kong grown art fair has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the global art community, with gallerists and collectors expressing great interest to travel to the city to celebrate the future of art at the fair’s flagship event. Digital Art Fair has decided to take an early decision to postpone its flagship fair to 2023 to welcome international art lovers to travel back to the Asia Art Hub.
